We invite educators and leaders to our interactive poster session, “Developing Expert Thinkers with FUNecole®,” scheduled for Sunday, June 29, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, at HBGCC – Posters, Table 41. This session offers a unique opportunity to explore how FUNecole® is cultivating critical and creative thinking in young learners, equipping them with essential 21st-century skills in an engaging and meaningful way.

Your Interactive Experience at Table 41
This isn’t your typical poster session. We’ve designed a truly hands-on experience that leverages the interactive nature of ISTE Live. We encourage attendees to bring their devices – smartphones, laptops, or tablets – to participate fully in this insightful journey.
• Engage from the Start: We’ll begin with an interactive poll, using tools like Mentimeter or Kahoot, to gather your perspectives on “What does empowering student learning mean to you?” Your input will shape our conversation.
• FUNecole® Through the Lens of ISTE Standards: A core component of our session will be demonstrating FUNecole®’s direct alignment with key ISTE Standards: 1.1 Empowered Learner and 1.2 Digital Citizen. We will explore how our curriculum enables students to:
– Set learning goals and leverage technology to achieve them, continuously reflecting on their progress (ISTE 1.1).
– Understand foundational technology concepts, effectively use current tools, and thoughtfully explore emerging technologies (ISTE 1.1).
– Manage their digital identity responsibly, understand the long-term impact of their online actions, and make ethical choices in the digital world (ISTE 1.2). A “Think-Pair-Share” activity will invite you to discuss your current strategies for fostering student agency and digital citizenship, enriching the collective experience.
• See FUNecole® in Action: We will provide a compelling showcase of FUNecole®’s features, complete with real-world examples of student projects that highlight the program’s effectiveness in cultivating critical thinking and creativity. You’ll have the opportunity for a brief, interactive walk-through on your own device, allowing you to directly explore FUNecole®’s intuitive tools. This practical demonstration will facilitate small group discussions, prompting reflection on how FUNecole® could integrate into your teaching practice.
Connecting with Transformative Learning Principles
FUNecole® is built upon the foundational principles of Transformative Learning, particularly emphasizing the cultivation of belonging and the prioritization of authentic experiences. During our session, we will:
• Present key Transformative Learning indicators.
• Illustrate how FUNecole®’s design fosters deeper thinking, enhances student agency, and strengthens collaborative skills.
• Facilitate breakout groups where you can directly match FUNecole® elements with these powerful learning principles using a shared Jamboard.
This segment underscores FUNecole®’s commitment to not just imparting knowledge, but truly transforming the educational journey.
Hands-On Design and Expert Collaboration
Our session culminates in a hands-on activity where participants will design a mini-lesson or activity inspired by FUNecole® principles and ISTE standards. We’ll provide templates in Google Slides or Canva, allowing for immediate application of insights gained. Peer feedback and an optional showcase will offer opportunities for valuable exchange and inspiration.
The session will be led by Mr. Kyriakos Christodoulou, Trainer Researcher at FUNecole®, and Mrs Chryso Christodoulou, Founder & CEO of Digipro Education Limited and FUNecole®. Their combined expertise provides a comprehensive perspective for educators, district leaders, and those involved in teacher development.
We will conclude with a recap of key objectives, provide access to valuable resources, and engage in an open Q&A.
